2026 LEAGUE BASICS
• Season buy-in: $75, covering the league prize pool, year-end awards, and the BSG Cup.
• BSG apparel is optional. Sponsor additions may be announced separately.
• Good Vibes Mandate: bad lies, missed putts, and sudden back pain on No. 16 are not grounds for killing the mood. Chronic whining may still result in a pitcher obligation at the 19th hole.
1. The Schedule & The "Best 12 + Best 3" Rule
2026 SEASON SCORING
COUNTED SCORES
• Best 12 regular-week scores count toward the season standings.
• Best 3 major scores count separately.
• A poor round or missed week does not end your season; only your strongest qualifying results survive.
DECLARING AND POSTING A ROUND
• Tell the Commissioner before teeing off that the round is official.
• Submit a clear photo of the completed scorecard within 24 hours.
• No declaration or no scorecard means no league points. The Spreadsheet God is powerful, but not psychic.
HANDICAPS AND NET SCORES
• The Commissioner maintains the league handicap used for BSG scoring.
• Net scoring is based on the course played and its hole handicap indexes.
• On par 3s, a player receives no more than one handicap stroke.
REGULAR-WEEK POINTS
• A completed official score earns 5 posting points.
• Individual performance points are awarded according to that week’s published format.
• Team points are added when the format includes teams or a blind draw.
• The weekly-results view on the Live Leaderboard shows exactly how each player’s total was built.
MAJORS
• Majors are scored in their own season bucket; the best 3 major results count.
• Major participation and performance points are defined on the event page before play.
• Any skins, closest-to-pin, longest-drive, or other side games are announced separately.
FORMATS
BSG rotates formats including Stableford, Sixes, 2-Man Blind Draw, Net Stroke Play, Wolf, and High-Low. The event page controls if a weekly format differs from these general rules.
CORE PLAYING RULES
• BSG Bump: one club length, no closer to the hole, to find a clean lie.
• Lost ball or out of bounds: treat as a lateral hazard; take one penalty stroke and drop.
• Maximum hole score: double par net. Pick it up and preserve what remains of your dignity.
• Gimme: inside one standard putter-grip length.
