Date: July 18, 2026
Location: TBD (Venue is currently a State Secret)
Format: 2-Man Team Rotation (6/6/6)
The Vibe: Forced cooperation followed by tactical abandonment.
We’ve designed this Major to test every facet of your partnership. You start as a unit, move into a shared-stress environment, and finish with a format that rewards the "better" drive—or punishes the worse one.
This is a NET SCORE Major. The Spreadsheet God will be applying your handicaps to every hole, so keep your gross scores clean and let the math happen behind the scenes.
🟢 Holes 1–6: The "Bromance" Phase (2-Man Scramble)
Both players tee off, you pick the best drive, and both play from there. Repeat until the ball is in the hole.
The Goal: Go low. This is the only time today you get a "safety net." If you aren't under par (net) here, you’re already behind the pack.
🟡 Holes 7–12: The "Marriage Test" (Alternate Shot)
Both players tee off. You pick the best drive. From that point on, you alternate shots until the ball is holed.
Crucial Rule: If Player A’s drive is chosen, Player B hits the second shot. Player A hits the third, and so on.
The Vibe: Tense. This is where you apologize to your partner for thinning a wedge into a bunker and leaving them with a "Fried Egg" lie.
🔴 Holes 13–18: The "Greensome" Finish (Switch & Scramble)
This is the "Shuffle" twist.
Both players tee off.
The Switch: Player A walks to Player B’s drive; Player B walks to Player A’s drive.
The Play-In: You each play your second shot from your partner's drive, play that ball until it is holed out.
The Choice: You either scream and rant at your partner, or silently curse him with warts and a bad thyroid.
The Vibe: Chaotic. You get to see exactly what kind of mess your partner left you with off the tee before you have to save the par.
The Math-Challenged Partnership: If you and your partner both struggle with addition, please do not attempt to calculate your score mid-hole. It will lead to a localized temporal rift and slow play.
Silent But Deadly: To our "Silent Guys"—you actually have to talk to your partner in this Major. Choosing which drive to take requires verbal communication. Shrugging is not a strategy.
The "Net" Reality: Always record your Gross Score. The spreadsheet knows your handicap. A "6" on the scorecard might be a "Net 4" after the math is done, so don't give up on a hole just because it looks ugly.
Teams that dominate the Scramble usually fall apart during the Alternate Shot. The Bhattalion Champion will be the duo that can survive the "Switch" on the final six holes without firing their partner.
Venue announcement coming soon. Start practicing your "I'm sorry" face for the Alternate Shot holes.
